Outdoor weddings, especially those on private property, are always a little bit more challenging. There just aren’t the same systems in place as you’d normally see at a standard venue. Combine that with the fact that this couple was planning their wedding with two kids, aged 2 and under, from New York, and every call and email had lots of question marks. When it finally came time for the wedding day, it was hot and humid, with thunderstorms rolling in and out throughout the day. I know I’m not selling this day well, but let me tell you, once the party started (and the rain stopped), everyone was in for a great time. The guests were so kind and willing to help. We had rolls of paper towels and everyone helped dry their seats with smiles on their faces. The flowers were gorgeous and created by the mother of the groom, the cake was delicious, and the party was poppin. In spite of the universe seemingly stacking against them, I hope their wedding day was special and everything they hoped!
