Turns out there’s something special in the air in Madison. While the bride’s family is based on the west coast, multiple members of the family were brought together with their partners in Madison, including Sophie and Isaac. They met in college Madison and have since laid down some roots. I also loved that this day highlighted both the bride’s and groom’s individual roots. With some elements of a traditional Jewish ceremony like a chuppah, ketubah, and ceremonial actions plus some poems written in Chinese, it was fun to see the fusion of their families. Plus, I always love doing weddings at Garver because, on top of their incredible staff, it gives me the chance to get some hot-from-the-oven Ian’s Pizza and sometimes even some Calliope Ice Cream. Congratulations, Isaac and Sophie, and thanks for trusting me with your big day!
